Batts has directed independent features, including Dangerous Curves, the 2010 Feminist Porn Awards Winner for Most Deliciously Diverse Cast. Cheryl Dunye is a native of Liberia, and holds an MFA from Rutgers University. Her fourth feature film, THE OWLS is presently making the rounds and national and international film festivals this year. Her third feature film, Miramax’s MY BABY’S DADDY, was a box office success. Her second feature, HBO Films STRANGER INSIDE, garnered her an Independent Spirit award nomination for best director. Dunye’s debut film, THE WATERMELON WOMAN, was awarded the Teddy Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival. Her other works have premiered at film festivals and museums worldwide. Dunye has received numerous awards and honors for her work. She is based in Los Angeles and is an Associate Professor of Diversity Studies and Film at California College of the Arts. Tristan Taormino is an award-winning author, columnist, sex educator, and feminist pornographer. She is the author of seven books including The Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex for Women and her newest The Secrets of Great G-Spot Orgasms and Female Ejaculation, which will be out in October. She runs the adult film production company Smart Ass Productions and is a director for Vivid Entertainment, where she created the sex education line Vivid-Ed. She was the first woman to win an AVN Award for Best Gonzo Movie for her film Chemistry in 2007, and she received the Trailblazer Award for Lifetime Achievement at the Feminist Porn Awards in 2010. Her latest films are The Expert Guide to Female Orgasms and Rough Sex 3: Adrianna's Dangerous Mind. She was a columnist for The Village Voice for nearly ten years and writes a column for Hustler’s Taboo. Tristan and her work have been featured in over 200 publications from The New York Times and O: The Oprah Magazine to Playboy and Marie Claire. She lectures at top colleges and universities and teaches sex and relationship workshops around the world.
