Healing Through Sexual Touch/Intimacy: Trauma and Sex
Trigger warning- this workshop will discuss types of abuse, including sexual assault.
Cait will guide you through an evening of learning about trauma and how it impacts our sex lives. Whether with a partner or solo, trauma can have an impact on how we see ourselves as sexual beings. Trauma, sexual exploration and self esteem are some of the topics to be discussed.
A safer space will be created to foster a difficult but important conversation about trauma. As we talk about trauma, such as intimate partner violence and gender based violence, there will be open conversation for questions and personal stories. However, trauma can come from many things, including eating disorders, organized religion, and/or bullying. All of these things can impact our relationship to our bodies and sexual intimacy.
You can remain anonymous during the workshop. This workshop will not be recorded.
Held in the main space of Three Dollar Bill at 1592 Queen Street West
7pm - 9pm EST
$30 - sliding scale available, please email info at goodforher.com
