From Monogamy to More: Reimagining Relationships with Courage & Care
This workshop is a primer on the many forms of consensual non monogamy (‘open relationships’) that one can draw inspiration from when renegotiating and redesigning an intimate relationship or considering some sexy adventures with your partner outside of your own bedroom.
In this frank and laughter-filled presentation and discussion we will share experience from our own relationship of almost 30 years in which we have moved from long time monogamy to experimenting with other agreements and ways of connecting with one another and with others. We will share in detail the struggles, the mistakes, the triumphs and our observations and research from over 10 years of evolving as a couple and supporting others in their own journeys. And we will discuss the vital importance of communication at every stage of this transition/experiment.
We will review the terms and vocabulary often used around alternative relationship models. We will present some helpful tools and concepts for helping you fumble through the inquiry, negotiation and implementation of possible changes in your relationship structure and agreements. And we will connect you with other resources to help you along your journey.
There will be ample time for discussion and Q&A.
